Yes, it is possible.... the way I do it involves a few steps....
Below is a quick test image I did... and the link to the interactive version... http://uc360.net/3d/render-vt.mov
First Create the model.
Then use the free plugin cubicpanoout.rb to create the 6 cubic views.
Resize your window to the non-grayed out area...Render each of the 6 views.
Use a program that can stitch the cubic images... I use Pano2Qtvr... but I'm sure there is free software out there that can do the same.
BAM! You have a 360 degree spherical image.
If anyone knows of an easier way, I'm also interested.
+ In the Camera rollout change the Camera Type to Spherical (physical cam must be disabled)
+ Override the Field of View to 360
+ Set your output resolution to a 2:1 aspect ratio (this is optional, but minimizes distortion)
This will give you a map that you could use a spherical environment

Thank you Damien, unfortunately I always use Physical Cam, so i won't change all setting each time i would like a 360 shot. :-\

Thanks dang8, I found the ruby file on smustard, but i can't figure out how to use it.
i placed the .rb file in the SU's plugin folder and restarted SU, but i didn't found where should it be?
The plugin should show up under Camera as CubicPano Out
Here is my normal process for doing it in sketchup:
1. Create the scene
2. Click on Camera and then on CubicPano Out
3. A settings window should open.
3a. Resolution - I enter a value of 1024 or greater
3b. Create Cube Pages - Switch to True
3c. Top Image Correction - True
4. Resize your work area window to fit exactly where the grey bars are. For some reason the only way I can get it to work is if I do this. It's actually very important... even if you change the render settings in step 5. ----- if anyone knows a setting to make it render just inside the grey area without resizing the window, I would love to know! -----
5. V-RAY Settings - Here is a screen shot of how I setup the camera and output properties. -- Forgot to add uncheck Vignetting
6. Render your first scene and save.... Do this for the rest of the page scenes.
This is the software I use... http://gardengnomesoftware.com/pano2qtvr.php If you plan on doing these a lot, it's well worth the purchase. If I get a chance, I will search around to see if I can find any free software that can do it.
If you want, send me a msg, and I will stitch them for you and send back the pan.
To Avoid resize the window you have to replace the 45 FOV of 90 in the settings of vray camera and comes ready render exactly as it appears in the window cut...
Greetings

what if I want to make a more normal panorama?? Like 180 degrees, in one direction only???
when doing real world photos, its so simple... I take several photos, just rotating the camera along its own axis.
but when I try that with VRAY, the same panorama programas that can easily create panoramas out of camera photos, CANT MATCH the VRAY renders (I do the VERY SAME process... just change the camera angle inside Sketchup a bit, take another render, etC)
This sounds pretty cool. I'll play around with it.
There is a free open source panorama stitcher that I just found recently, I haven't played around with it too much yet, so I'm not sure how to get a qtvr out of it: http://hugin.sourceforge.net/
